One of my absolute favourite amenities at the Lake House on Canandaigua was hands down Willowbrook Spa. Open Thursday to Sunday, Sand Bar is a local favourite and institution in Canandaigua.

Though we did not tour it, the spa will surely be a draw after it opens (right now, that’s slated for Memorial Day). The food was spectacular- the best steak we’ve ever had was at the Rose Tavern. Even on a rainy day, there was a ton of games to play in the library bar and enjoy a delicious cocktail.

Among the Finger Lakes, the smaller Canandaigua Lake might not get as much love as its larger neighbors. With everything travelers need for a dream summer getaway on the water, this new Upstate New York hotspot is worth moving to the top of your bucket list. Or, get out on the lake by taking out one of the hotel’s pontoon boats or speedboats.

I loved the scent of the body wash so much I actually bought a bottle at the spa to take home with me. I absolutely loved our bathroom at the Lake House on Canandaigua. Of course they also had Nespresso machines which meant each morning started off with a great cup of coffee. The Lake House on Canandaigua uses a filtered water system where they have still and sparkling water available on each floor and you can refill the bottles as you please. One of my favourite features of the rooms were the reusable water bottles. During our stay at the Lake House on Canandaigua we stayed in one of their beautiful Lake Queen Queen rooms.
Rose Tavern is the signature restaurant at the Lake House on Canandaigua. You’ll find a handful of great restaurants in the area, plus an amazing antique mall (the Ontario Antique Mall) just a 15 minute drive away.
